Dedicating more than 16 years to education, primarily working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, I found a true calling. The impact of making a difference in the lives of these children brought me immense joy and fulfillment. In 2020, amid the global turmoil and uncertainty, I undertook one of the most significant challenges of my career: opening a new school. This was not just any school but one that embodied my ethos of creating a holistic and therapeutic learning environment, where both children and adults felt nurtured and supported.
Â
The pride I felt in this accomplishment was unparalleled. I envisioned a sanctuary where education went beyond academics, fostering emotional and mental well-being for everyone involved. However, my dedication to this vision came at a personal cost. By giving my all to the role, my own health and happiness began to deteriorate. Fast forward to 2022, and I was a shadow of my former self – low in mood, anxious, losing weight and hair, and generally quite poorly.
Â
My support network of amazing family, friends, and a compassionate GP did their best to help me navigate through this tough time, but it wasn’t enough. I felt trapped in a cycle of stress and exhaustion, unable to see a way out. It was during this period of vulnerability that I discovered hypnotherapy, a turning point that would change my life profoundly.
Â
The positive impact of hypnotherapy on my life was nothing short of miraculous. Through solution-focused hypnotherapy, I found a new sense of calm, clarity, and well-being. The transformation I experienced was so profound that it inspired me to delve deeper into this therapeutic practice, with the hope of helping others who might be facing similar struggles.
Â
My journey led me to train with the Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT), renowned for its gold-standard hypnotherapy practice. The learning process was exhilarating, and I was fascinated by the neuroscience underpinning solution-focused hypnotherapy. Understanding how the brain works and how hypnotherapy can harness the power of positive thinking to effect real change was both enlightening and empowering.
Â
Today, as a qualified hypnotherapist, I draw from my extensive experience in education and my personal journey of recovery. I am passionate about helping others find their path to healing and well-being. My approach is grounded in empathy, understanding, and a genuine desire to support my clients in achieving their goals.
Â
Through my practice, I aim to create a safe and nurturing environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, free from judgment. Whether it’s dealing with anxiety, stress, or other challenges, I am committed to guiding my clients towards a brighter, more positive future.
Â
Looking back, I see how each step of my journey, with all its challenges and triumphs, has led me to where I am today. I am grateful for the lessons learned and the opportunity to help others through the powerful practice of hypnotherapy. My story is one of resilience, transformation, and hope – a testament to the incredible potential within each of us to overcome adversity and thrive.
